In 2009, I attended the Sundance Film Festival and promised myself I’d go back again one day. This year I am attending the Festival. So far these are the films I am scheduled to see.

I’ve got some reviews which will be queued up between now and when I leave for my USA trip on January 13.

Come January 21, check out the site as I will be at the Sundance Film Festival spending  time watching some films. So I’ll post daily updates of the films as the Festival is on here during January 21-31.

Review: Hush (Documentary)

Hush Review

Hush is a documentary on abortion directed by Punam Gill. Unlike previous documentaries on the topic, this one states from the beginning, how there are two sides to the argument, pro-life and pro-choice. Both sides of the story are given a voice throughout the documentary. Ultimately it looks at the science and effect on women and not the point of view individuals are coming from. Continue reading

Pro-Ana, the film, is a young woman’s journey of escape from the cult of pro-ana, whose adherents deify body dysmorphia and disordered eating. For her, recovery means losing everyone she loves in order to rediscover herself.

Q&A with Colette Freedman

Q&A with Colette Freedman

Colette Freedman is an author who received acclaim when her play Sister Cities became a hit at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2008. Since then she has adapted the play into a film version of the same name, written novels for both adults and young adults, and has a number of upcoming projects in the works, not to mention her love for pottery. Colette was kind enough to participate in a Q&A for the site and I thank her for her time.
