The Pacific takes #1 on Wednesday in Australia

 

THE PACIFIC LANDS AT NUMBER ONE

ACCLAIMED SERIES MOST WATCHED AROUND AUSTRALIA LAST NIGHT

THE PACIFIC made its much anticipated debut last night, landing into the Number One position for the night, with 1.593 million viewers around the country.

The World War II drama, from the creative minds of Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks, led the charge from 8.30pm for two hours.

THE PACIFIC continues next Wednesday at 8.30pm with the much talked about episode based in Melbourne, with the Marines arriving in Australia for R&R leave.

This episode features some of Australia’s top acting talent, including Bill Hunter, Claire van der Boom, Isabel Lucas and Zoe Carides, in starring roles.

In coming weeks, veteran Australian actor Gary Sweet will make his entrance into THE PACIFIC, portraying real-life Marine, Gunnery Sgt. Elmo Haney.

 

The movie-length premiere of THE PACIFIC will be encored on Seven this Saturday at 11.05pm and Wednesday at 12midday.
